Blog-tember Challenge: My Passions

Happy Friday!

Today's Blog-tember Challenge prompt is "What are you passionate about?"  So, here are some things that make me tick - I'd love to hear from you in the comments section about some things you are passionate about. Do we have any in common?

God.
I am so grateful that I belong to a God who is kind, loving, compassionate and forgiving. I have done (and continue to do) so many dumb things, but knowing I am covered under His grace is mind blowing. It's something that I can never fully wrap my head around, but I am grateful for each day.

My Husband.
Is it weird to be "passionate" about your husband? Well. This guy...he's truly a gift from God. I'm so glad to have him to go through life with, someone who can help me keep perspective, remember to let loose, and to enjoy life's simple moments. Spencer is the opposite from me in the best ways - where I am type A and constantly feeling the need to be getting something done, he reminds me to relax. Where I fear saying no and hurting someone, he reminds me that it's not actually as big of a deal as I make it to be in my head. So. Blessed.

Family & Friends.
I know this is a typical answer but honestly - I have the best family and friends. They are always there for me - in fun times and in not-so-fun times. I know that no matter what happens or how much time passes between conversations, they each love me just as much as I love them. And I realize that not everyone is so lucky.

My Home.
I am, and have always been, passionate about my home. Whether it is an apartment or a house, I want it to always be a place where people come in and feel right at home. My home was the reason for starting this blog in the first place - I am constantly fiddling with something, painting something, or rearranging something - and thought "why not share it?" I love when people tell me they feel comfortable in my house. That is exactly the feeling I strive to give people who come over. I also always want to be sure that Spencer (and any future children) are completely comfortable in our home. I want them to look forward to coming home after a long day because it's their "happy place." And anything I can do to help that, I will do.

I'd love to hear from you! What are your passions?

    1. I love it, too! Here in SC we don't see much either, but probably more than in lovely, sunny CA!

  4. It's not at all weird to be passionate about your husband---how wonderful for him that you are! You home looks beautiful on the outside and I'm sure it must be on the inside as well, since it is your passion.
